It was in 1994. I waited all night, nursing a Coke I couldn’t afford, to play to one more empty room. That night something inside just went “thwang” and I decided “No more. No more empty rooms; no more empty pockets; no more sacrifices for this music biz stuff.” Shortly after that, we had the good fortune to lose our jobs and have to leave Nashville once and for all and return to Los Angeles. Goodbye, Nashville.
